Video of Electronic Tree to Tree Distance Marking System.
When the Photo-Eye senses the tree that was just planted, it signals a hydraulic solenoid valve to open a trap door, allowing the next tree to be planted. The door automatically resets itself and waits for the next signal.
The photo-eye is mounted to a telescoping boom that can be adjusted for different tree to tree spacing.
The trap door is in the down position. This would allow another tree to be planted.
The trap door is horizontal, waiting for the tree to signal the photo-eye.
